My first blog!

Thanks for supporting me guys!

I have brought this up already but I am a really fascinated writer and I hope that my words will somehow have a good affect on my blog. Now, before we officially start, I just wanted to say that the children on this website aren't just images for effect but real, living, breathing humans and I shall use these ten days to show you some of their stories. These stories are from the heart and I shall take care to handle them properly and lovingly. Now let’s begin.

Today I will commence with a girl and her name is Madina. Madina is a three year old girl and lives in the village Gojra which is located in Azad Jammu, Muzaffarabad, Pakistan. Her parents and 5 siblings (four older sisters and a brother) all live together with her but unfortunately her father does not gain enough money to properly sustain all of them and he fears that his daughters and son will also have to help out amidst all the rubbish and scavenge around while they’re doing so and all the dangers that could branch out from that. The father is hoping for an education for Madina and therefore asked Children First for help until the little 3 year old could be accepted in their center.

Madina is a skinny, timid yet playful girl and it is hard to picture a little girl with that description stumbling around in piles of dirt and rubbish, her little face smudged with dark marks and her little hands curiously digging away in the sea of scraps. The malnutrition that played a toll on her now slim little body digging away in her as well this skittish and introverted girl wanting to just live a happy life with her family is amidst all this garbage, the garbage of this very complicated and weird world and the garbage of people’s minds yet she still has hope for a better tomorrow...

Today I was going to school and suddenly her face pops up in my mind and it is her staring with her tiny, sturdy eyes staring back at me and I pondered under my face mask as I walked to the gates. Hearing about her life ignited a spark in my heart and I feel guilty for having so much. I wonder how she would have seen all that I have with her eyes. I wonder what would be going on in her pensive mind. Right now I am imagining how we live on the exact same earth with the same sun above our heads and the same moon in the night. But we do not see the sun and moon the same way...we do not see our world the same way and so it seems as if we are on completely different planets.

I wish this wouldn’t have to be.

Bye for now and have a great rest of the day/evening!
